Physioswiss represents the interests of more than 8000 self-employed and salaried physiotherapists.
The organisation provides a wide range of services and publications for its members, including information on education and training. It also helps patients find out more about physiotherapy or find a qualified practitioner.
Physioswiss needed a reliable language partner to translate marketing texts and press releases between French, German and Italian. Since these texts involve pharmaceutical information, accuracy and clarity are vital. Added to this, they often have very tight deadlines – sometimes requiring translations at less than 24 hours’ notice and over weekends.
Of course, the texts need to reflect Physioswiss’s style, as well as using the correct terminology.
And getting the language variant right was vital – there are significant differences between the languages spoken in Switzerland and those of France, Germany and Italy.
We assembled a team of native-speaking Swiss translators, with specialist knowledge of the health sector, to work on all Physioswiss’s projects.
Our client often sends two to five requests each day, so our Project Managers and linguists are always ready to respond promptly at any time. Our dedicated proofreaders and editors work for Physioswiss on an almost daily basis, ensuring consistency across their projects.
We also created terminology glossaries to ensure their preferred terms are always used.
Our linguists work within our translation platform, meaning they can easily access these glossaries. They also benefit from translation memory software, which builds up a record of all Physioswiss’s previous translations, resulting in consistent, fast results.
Physioswiss often requires rush translations of 5,000 to 20,000 words with a 24 hour deadline. They usually let us know in advance, but this isn’t always possible. For example, we’ve often received large requests on a Friday or Saturday evening, which were needed the next morning.
With our dedicated teams in place, we’re able to respond promptly and have never missed a deadline. Our technology enables several translators to work together on a project, with a single proofreader ensuring consistency.
Physioswiss has been very satisfied with our work. We’re delighted to have built up a positive, long-term partnership, and we look forward to continuing to work with them.
