Helpdesk Engineer

Location: Timisoara, Romania

Lingo24 is looking for a Helpdesk Engineer to join its Global Support Team.

Technology underpins Lingo24’s ability to meet customer needs and expectations as we continue to expand and grow. The Helpdesk Support Team provides internal support for our technical infrastructure; including hardware, desktop software and, networking and telecoms infrastructure.

What you will be doing:

  • Work under guidance from the Support Team Leader to complete support tickets and perform maintenance or improvement tasks on the company’s technical infrastructure
  • Support tasks involve account management, software installations and hardware troubleshooting
  • Updating support documentation for use internally and externally
  • Communication with business analysts, software engineers and external partners to resolve technical issues and provide support to users

What we need:

  • 2+ years experience working in an incident based support environment, or equivalent experience
  • Experience installing and administering Microsoft Windows and common software applications (e.g. web browsers, Microsoft Office, Skype)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting computer networks
  • Passionate about technology and an interest in computer hardware
  • An excellent communicator; disciplined, persistent, organised, proactive and capable of bringing in results without being pushy
  • Self starter; capable of working independently, confident in their ability to learn new skills

Nice to have:

  • Technology related university degree
  • Experience delivering support in-line with ITIL processes, and ITIL certification
  • Networking certifications (e.g. Cisco)
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, Zendesk)
  • Experience writing support processes and customer-facing support documentation
  • Knowledge of translation technology components (e.g. translation management systems,  computer-assisted translation tools, translation memory, machine translation)
