About the role

Lingo24 is looking for a full lifecycle Business Analyst to join the Business Change team within our technology department working on our award winning translation platform. Technology underpins everything we do at Lingo24 and is key to our ability to meet customer needs and expectations as we continue to grow.We believe that a strong, innovative technology platform and service offering is a key differentiator within the translation market, and we focus on using a mix of Automation and AI to scale translation delivery. The Business Change team at Lingo24 is responsible for the specification, documentation and rollout of our bespoke translation platform used by our customers, translators and employees. This platform is used to deliver global content for some of the world’s leading brands including Adidas, Virgin, Global Eagle, WPP, Patagonia, Eventbrite and Schneider Electric.

What you will be doing

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements
  • Manage business engagement to understand, challenge and document underlying business needs, translating these into project scope, objectives and business goals
  • Design and facilitate workshops to analyse, define and prioritise requirements, challenging thinking and agreeing outcomes to ensure robust requirements development
  • Prepare the business case underpinning solution options and participate in solution design sessions with Technical Architects and Product Owners
  • Conduct impact analysis with the business stakeholders to ensure the business is aware of the scope and impact of every change
  • Document business requirements as Agile Epics and User stories and present these in requirements review sessions (“Three Amigos”) with developers and QA Engineers
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business stakeholders to support go / no go decision making for release and rollout
  • Understand high-level functional and non-functional business requirements and assess impact on our systems, teams and infrastructure
  • Act as an advisor to internal colleagues and external customers on technology, process improvements and their ability to enable translation services
  • Work closely with the Global Support team to ensure that all new services and software is suitably supported and accepted into operational service
  • Proactively identify architectural, procedural and commercial improvement opportunities that provide tangible business benefit
  • Carry out product and service sourcing, assessment and selection where third-party products or services will benefit the Lingo24 business

What we expect from you

  • 3 – 5 years in business analysis, business change, consulting and / or product development
  • Significant experience of working with senior business stakeholders to develop business cases, elicit requirements and drive process efficiencies, using recognised methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Significant experience of modelling and communicating business process and solution design to varying audiences (including senior business stakeholders and technology delivery teams)
  • Proven experience across the full project lifecycle (from initiation through to benefits realisation) within both structured and agile project environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Capable of developing strong, long term relationships with business and technology stakeholders
  • Strong business process modelling and management skills (preferably BPMN and Lean)
  • Structured analysis and modelling skills: including business process and entity modelling, UML (including use cases and state diagrams), and behaviour driven models (user stories, wireframes and user journeys)
  • Well-developed influencing and decision making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution

What we expect from you
