How to become a Lingo24 translator

We demand a lot: you must be efficient, professional, and able to interact with us using our online translator interface and email. The rewards, however, are numerous.

We’re very supportive and want to build long-term relationships with translators to ensure we produce high quality work.

Our translators must:

  • have an internationally recognised translator's qualification (from a body such as the ITI or IOL in the UK, or the American Translators' Association, or their own country's equivalent)

  • have at least three years' professional experience

  • work exclusively into their mother tongue

  • provide at least three professional references

Translator rates and benefits

We rely on the talent, experience, and professionalism of our linguists, so we pay competitive translator rates. In addition we provide:

  • retainer contracts

  • minimum fees

  • free training on our CAT tool

  • regular Q&A support sessions on our software

Most importantly, our Coach technology has been developed with professional linguists to help you work more efficiently and be able to charge higher rates per hour. Highly-experienced linguists, with in-depth industry knowledge, can also earn more for specialised tasks.

A top-rated agency

We’re proud that users of two major translation industry websites have consistently voted us a top agency to work with.

Lingo24 was named overall best agency in the TranslatorsCafé Hall of Fame and are well known for offering interesting and varied projects suited to our translators’ expertise.

Translators on ProZ.com gave Lingo24 a rating of 4.9 out of 5 when asked whether they would work with us again.
