Your translators have certain things in common: they're all professional language translators dedicated to doing a good job, and have 'lived' both of their languages extensively.  | English -> German Translator - Hartwin BuschHartwin has spent almost exactly half of his life in Germany and half in England. Initially, he obtained an engineering degree at Stuttgart University and later on went to England where he studied Town Planning as a postgraduate student. After several years of working as an architect in Britain, he went back to Germany where he took part in the building programme for the revitalisation of East Germany. Back in England, Hartwin sharpened up his bilingual abilities to qualify for membership at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting and started his career as an English-German translator and interpreter, specialising in technical subjects and patents. He has now been a translator for 7 years and lives in a small village near Cambridge. |

 | English -> French Translator - Nathalie ChalmersNathalie Chalmers is a French national with 10 years' experience as a translator and interpreter and 20 years' experience of the British way of life, which means she has valuable insight into both cultures and business worlds. Specialising mainly in technical translation, but with experience of a wide range of subjects, Nathalie has worked with Lingo24 since the early days and proven herself to be a reliable and highly competent linguist. What's more she also possesses that essential Lingo24 ingredient - a good sense of humour! |
 | English, French and German -> Italian Translator - Lucia Cavalli-Roberts MITI, ASTTILucia has always loved foreign languages. After studying French, English and German at secondary school, she gained a Diploma in Translation from the Ecole de Traduction in Geneva in the late 80's. She remained in Switzerland for a few years working full-time as a translator and learning the 'tools of the trade'. Deciding she hadn't had enough of education, Lucia then took a politics degree at the Università Statale di Milano specialising in English and International Law. She then lived in Wales and Germany for extended periods before settling down in Cambridge. Lucia has been a translator for 13 years and is a fully qualified member of both the ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting) and the ASTTI (l'Association suisse des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes). "The more I do this job, the more I like it," says Lucia, "I find the combination of linguistics and current affairs particularly stimulating." |
