Job Description for Lingo24 Project Manager in Panama

Background

Lingo24 is one of the fastest-growing, most innovative translation companies in Europe. With small operations in the UK, New Zealand, China, France, Panama and Germany, the company’s main hub is in Romania, where it employs over 50 people in project management, account management, IT and marketing roles. Lingo24 undertakes translation projects for a wide range of clients in several different industry sectors.

It is now seeking outstanding Project managers to join its growing Production team to ensure Lingo24’s clients and project are cared for in the best possible way.

Outline of Project Manager role

Our Project Manager will be responsible for liaising with clients and linguists to ensure translation projects are realized on time, within budget, and to the requisite quality.

Specific Tasks

1. To liaise with clients and linguists to ensure translation projects are realized on time, within budget, and to the requisite quality.
2. To develop and maintain relationships with clients.
3. To produce quotes for new and existing clients and help them to plan their translation projects.

Requirements

• A university degree, preferably in languages, and ideally involving English.
• Excellent spoken and written English (German, in addition, would be a distinct advantage)
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Internet, Email, typing). Experience of translation technology (e.g. Trados etc.) would be a big advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills, and be friendly, level-headed, self-motivated, independent, trustworthy, ambitious, committed and a very strong team player.
• A passion for languages and accuracy in translation, and experience as a translator or in the translation industry
• Experience dealing with customers in English (and other languages)

Salary and conditions

Salary: Will depend on experience, but will be competitive and rewarding.

The working hours will be flexible but the two main shifts will be 8:00 am – 6:00 pm and 1:30 pm – 10 pm Panama local time (Monday to Friday), in order to cover all the time zones in the US between the East and the West coast.
