Update on Lingo24 Christmas charity vote and new charitable donation

posted by

Lingo24 is delighted to announce the results of its Christmas charity donation vote. You, our clients and suppliers, displayed a clear preference for helping children and fighting cancer, but with the 'children vote' split between Save the Children and Rachel House Children's Hospice, Cancer Research stormed to overall victory with 32% of the vote. Here are the stats:

Cancer Research 32%

Rachel House 22%

Save the Children 21%

Help the Aged 11%

World Vision International 8%

Sustrans 6%

(All rounded to the nearest %)

The full amount has been donated to Cancer Research.

In the light of the horrific tsunami disaster in Asia, Lingo24 has also made a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee, an umbrella organisation which launches and co-ordinates the UK's National Appeal in response to major disasters overseas. Its member agencies include Oxfam, World Vision, Save the Children, and many other respected charitable organisations. Our thoughts are with the families of the countless victims of this tragedy at this time.
