Lingo24 has well and truly returned home to roost, with the latest expansion of its Edinburgh centre of operations to accommodate its ever-increasing sales and marketing personnel.

Widely regarded as one of the most picturesque cities in Europe, Edinburgh has come to be known as the ‘Athens of the north’, due in large to the masterpiece of city planning that is the New Town; and Lingo24 can now count itself as one of the area’s newest residents.

It has been an incredible journey so far for what is one of the world’s fastest growing translation companies. Started in September 2001 in Christian Arno’s home in Aberdeen when he was a 22 year-old Oxford Graduate, the company has gone from strength to strength and Lingo24 can now offer round-the-clock translation services to its international customers thanks to its multi-timezone operations spanning four continents.

And the latest expansion sees two new In-country Account Managers join the Edinburgh city centre office, who are dedicated to securing new clients in Denmark and Sweden, with a further German Account Manager scheduled to start early in the new year.

But it’s not just about sales; the marketing department has also got bigger with the addition of a full-time ‘communications guru’, who will dedicate his time to spreading the word about Lingo24’s quality translation services.

Because of all this recent business growth-activity, Lingo24 celebrated with an official launch party on 13 November, inviting current clients – and some potential future ones too. The evening was a resounding success, with wine, nibbles and entertainment provided in the form of a ‘pub quiz’, which brought out everybody’s competitive side given the fantastic prizes on offer.

The new office can only serve to cement Lingo24’s position as a truly global provider of translation services and heralds yet another chapter in the Lingo24 story.
