MTV EXIT project

This highly interesting project began with a phone call from MTV Networks Europe requesting a quote for translating a new 10,000 word website (www.mtvexit.org) into 13 languages. In view of the extremely sensitive issue dealt with on the website, namely human trafficking, the style of the writing is of paramount importance, and consistency has to be assured across 13 languages - no mean feat!

Contrary to many of Lingo24's projects, where a formal business style is the order of the day, the MTV EXIT project is aimed at the 16 - 30s age group and is based on the concept of youth speaking to youth... not adult preaching to a younger audience. Lingo24's first challenge was thus to select a team of translators able to produce the requisite tone in the target languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Romanian, Czech, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, Russian, Bulgarian).

Once again, the success of this initial project has resulted in a regular flow of work from MTV, with material (around 1,000 words) arriving on a monthly basis and a fast, accurate turnaround the key requirement.
