Pushto Translation Services

Pushto, Pashto or Afghani as it is also known, is the Indo-Iranian language spoken by the ethnic Pashtuns, or Afghans that reside in the eastern and southern areas of Afghanistan, the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Balochistan areas of Western Pakistan.

The Pushto language is spoken by some 40 to 50 million people worldwide and is one of two official languages of Afghanistan. Within Afghanistan itself, the language has two distinct dialects; the Northern and the Southern. The Northern dialect is spoken by some 6 million people and the Southern dialect by some one an a half million; the distinction between the two dialects being one of different pronunciations of certain Phonemes.

The make up of Pushto is basically that of other Indo-Iranian languages but with a significant influence of Arabic, Persian and Turkic. The Pushto script is a modified version of the Arabic alphabet but with certain additional letters.

Lingo24 provides professional Pushto translation services to a range of clients in different sectors. You can be completely confident about the standards of our Pushto translations, as we have rigorous quality control procedures in place at all times; these procedures ensure that every translation we produce is of the highest quality.

Before a translator can even start working for us they go through a “punishing” selection process, in which our dedicated recruitment staff check work samples, references, and qualifications. Our ongoing translator rating system means that a translator is, in our eyes, “only as good as their last piece of work”. Added to this comes our policy of having every translation checked and edited by a second, appropriately qualified mother tongue professional translator, all under the watchful eyes of our team of project managers.
