Gaelic Translation Services

Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Manx are the three Gaelic languages which form the main branch of the Insular Celtic languages. Called “Goideleg” in Old Irish, this group divided into three rather similar languages towards the end of the first millennium AD. Gaeilige (Irish) is one of the official languages of Ireland, along with English, and it is spoken by less than 200,000 people worldwide. Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) is spoken by about 60,000 people in the north and west of Scotland. Gaelg (Manx) is used by only 2,000 people, so it is almost extinct. All three languages have been dealing with a constantly decreasing number of speakers in the last decades; the efforts of the linguists to resurrect these languages and to make the people aware of losing their national identity have proved rather unsuccessful.

Lingo24’s Gaelic translators are able to provide translations from and into all these three variants of Gaelic. We handle translation projects in wide-spread languages with just as much care and attention as the translation projects in less popular languages. We are professional and always willing to help, so feel free to entrust your Gaelic translation projects to us.
