Job description for IT Support/Test Engineer Job in Timisoara, Romania
Ongoing responsibility:
Assist the IT Support and Systems Manager in the following tasks:
- Maintenance and support of all hardware and software of Lingo24 employees worldwide.
- Maintenance and support of InClarity phone systems.
- Administration of Google Apps (adding users, removing users etc.).
- Administration of Windows server then administration of Samba server.
- Assist our employees in setting up their connection to Internet.
Assist the IT Development team with testing
- Being a key member of the development team
- Testing software developed by the development team
- Taking part in development meetings and being aware of all development plans that require testing
- Assisting in the two weekly release testing cycle
Skill Profile
Support
- Detailed knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora 12, Centos 5.x) and the ability to install and maintain Linux systems including LDAP administration
- Knowledge of PC systems including Microsoft XP/Vista/7 as well as Windows Server 2003
- Networking setup, maintenance and problem solving of networking components: routers, firewalls, cat5 cabling and wireless
- Experience of maintenance and problem solving common PC issues
Testing
- Experience of detailed testing of web based systems
- Systematic approach to testing including the ability to write test scripts etc.
