Sales Executive/Account Manager in London (Clapham Junction)

Lingo24, a fast-growing global translation and localization provider, requires a dynamic, driven translation sales professional (Account Manager) to grow its business in London and southern England.

Tasked primarily with bringing in new clients, but also with developing existing client companies and increasing account profitability, the AM will meet our clients, speak with them on the ‘phone, and promote our company on a local and national basis. They must also liaise with our Project Managers to ensure all the projects we undertake have the best chance possible of beating our clients’ high expectations.

The AM will report directly to the company’s London-based Senior Account Director, and have regular contact with the company’s founding director and the Head of Sales and Marketing.

Specific Tasks

  1. Research potential client companies (through the internet or through already available data) to identify those with significant ongoing translation requirements.
  2. Make contact with potential customers by telephone, at conferences and at meetings..
  3. Lead contacts through the sales cycle for translation services.

  4. Maintain relationship with contact over time and develop (ever more!) business from account.
  5. Maintain an open, communicative relationship with our Romanian production team.
  6. Write proposals and tenders for prospective clients.
  7. Use professional networks such as LinkedIn to help build our client base.

Important

  • Experience selling translation/localization or other content related services
  • Excellent communicator, disciplined, persistent, organized, with initiative, intelligent and capable of bringing in results without being pushy, capable of working independently without day-to-day supervision

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling content management systems or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of translation technologies, particularly TM software, and understanding of concepts such as DITA, XML, Machine Translation and Unicode.
