ForeignExchange Translations, Inc has released version 2.0 of its web-based project management tool FXTracker. This tool integrates three features - FXOnline, FXWorkFlow and FXAssure - and it comes with several important upgrades.
FXTracker 2.0 offers an improved communication between project managers and clients by giving the users access to information regarding the project status. The Association for Machine Translation in the Americas will offer a free showcase of applications on Thursday, August 10, at its seventh biennial conference ( http://amta2006.amtaweb.org/index.htm ). The aim of these presentations is to give the public a general introduction to machine translation and its real world applications.

Language Weaver, a developer of enterprise software for the automated translation, released an upgraded version of its statistical machine translation software SMTS. The new version, SMTS 4.1, comes with settings that allow users to make appropriate trade-offs between translation run-speed and translation accuracy levels and side-by-side display of source material and translated output in the web interface to facilitate comparison and cross-reference when translating URLs. SMTS 4.1 features three new language modules – Swedish, Portuguese and Romanian.
