Language Weaver Teams with Idiom Technologies

New translation programme from Google

Google is currently developing a translation programme which will translate a document into any of the world’s main languages.
Google admits that the programme may not be suited to accurate-critical document translations but it should be able to deliver a ‘mostly correct translation’.
So far, the Google statistical machine translation system is offering translations from Arabic, Chinese and Russian to English. The tool is free for the time being.

MemoQ 2.0

Kilgray Translation Technologies has released version 2.0 of the Integrated Localization Environment MemoQ. This version features a new resource server that stores translation memories and term bases and offers the possibility of creating server projects that allow for the easy distribution of work among several translators.
MemoQ 2.0 comes with several improvements on the client side too: support for XML and Adobe FrameMaker MIF file formats, improvements to all other supported file formats, support for the Segmentation Rule eXchange standard, auto-propagation of translated segments etc.
