The Times places Lingo24 on the Fast Track

The Fast Track table lists the top 100 UK companies with the fastest growing sales internationally, and we’re very pleased to have placed at number 81. (Which, in fact, makes us the fastest growing translation agency in the UK!)

So what’s the secret of our speedy international growth? Well, it’s not a secret as such – our growth has been largely fuelled by export and our presence in the foreign language internet.

Is Scotland the eCommerce ‘Zimbabwe’? Or a growth industry?

A recent article in the Herald Scotland, ‘eCommerce is a global treasure trove … but Scotland’s more serious about belly dancing’, questions why Scottish government and businesses have yet to take advantage of the enormous opportunities presented by eCommerce.

While the article makes a strong point that much more could be done to promote Ecommerce as a business opportunity in Scotland, it is perhaps unfair to claim that Scotland is ‘the Zimbabwe of the globalised eCommerce marketplace’, as specialist Peter Mowforth puts it.

Foreign language internet translates into success for Sheffield firm

It’s what we’ve been saying all along. The internet is a goldmine for companies seeking to find new business in international markets.

Sheffield tyre company Longstone noticed an increasing number of orders arriving in from abroad and, more specifically, Italy. So what did they do? Well, to enhance the communications process and circumvent the language barrier, they translated their website into Italian. And it makes perfect sense.
