Recession is great for business
With recent talk about credit crunches and recessions, you might be forgiven for thinking that all businesses were headed for a massive downturn. It seems, however, that for some translation services companies, business couldn’t be any better.
Expert Language Services, a Michigan based Translation Services Company specialising in translations for the automotive industry, especially relating to interpreting for business meetings, corporate training, voice-over services, scripts and Web site translation has reported a surprising economic trend regarding companies suffering contractions in their home markets.
Apparently, in an effort to counteract these recessionary trends, many US businesses are turning their attention to foreign markets and this has lead to a massive demand for the services of Translations Companies. Japanese, Spanish, Chinese and Indian languages are reported to be the most sought after languages for translation, as they correspond directly to the focus of many US companies’ sales and marketing efforts, namely; Japan, The Southern Americas, The Indian Subcontinent and China.
Eastern European languages are also apparently in great demand corresponding again to secondary markets that are being focussed upon by US companies; these companies are especially concentrating upon the Czech, Hungarian and Polish markets.
Well they always did say that it was an ill wind…
