Lingo24: Speaking the Language of Business

Any company that is truly global will communicate with its international clients in their own tongue - as far as is feasible.
Moreover, for a translation company, it’s probably fair to say that it’s even more important that we are able to communicate professionally in a number of languages. Indeed, one of the main reasons we chose to open offices in Panama and Timisoara (Romania) is because of the skill-sets in these two particular locations – chiefly, they are very multilingual places.
We are always quick to mention that everyone from our IT staff all the way through to our support personnel can speak at least two languages – with some speaking many more. For a company that lives and breathes languages, this is very important.
In terms of our customer-facing people, we have dedicated Danish and Swedish speakers. Furthermore, one of our London-based Account Managers can speak five languages fluently.
And today, we welcome on board Alex, our new German-speaking Account Manager, who will add yet another string to our globalisation bow.
At a time when many companies may merely be looking to protect what they currently have given the current economic climate, we feel it’s important to be bold and continue to seek new opportunities in other markets.
And to do so effectively, it’s crucial that we talk to our customers in a language they understand.
