Well, we only went and did it. We had our fingers crossed that we would walk away with one award at HeraldScotland.com’s Digital Business awards...so to walk away as winners in both categories we were nominated in was a fantastic achievement, especially given the competition we were up against.
Everyone at Lingo24 has worked their socks off to get to this point. With over thirty million words translated in the past twelve months and clients in over sixty countries, it was a real honour to win the awards in the ‘Export’ and ‘Business to Business’ category, and is testament to our international achievements.
Specifically, the judges praised our accomplishments in trebling international sales through the development of fully localised foreign-language websites, stating it was a “great example of accessing new markets through digital innovation”.
They also congratulated us on our “highly complex and sophisticated technology permitting clients, staff and translators to collaborate across multiple time-zones and languages in one centralised system. Because the business can respond to clients’ needs 24/7 an impressive client list has been secured”.
Lingo24’s Head of Sales and Marketing (Carly Bonas), Account Manager (Kirsty Brown) and founder and Managing Director (Christian Arno) were present to collect the awards.
Christian said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won these awards. Thanks to the hard work of all our staff, Lingo24 has grown by over 30% during the recession and to have this recognised by HeraldScotland.com is fantastic.”
