Distance is no barrier for Lingo24

The world is definitely getting smaller. And at a time when the word ‘flying’ is almost considered a curse word, it is probably just as well we can communicate via email and VoIP (or Skype to you and me).
With the advent of the internet era globalisation is now a viable option for companies of all sizes. For Lingo24, we’ve got offices in four continents and without the wonders of modern technology, we would probably have a carbon footprint the size of a very large elephant.
Besides the advantage that internet technology brings in terms of keeping us connected with our clients, it’s also invaluable for internal communications.
We’ve recently been undertaking lots of training exercises at our Romanian hub in Timisoara. But for our operations where we only have a handful of people such as China and New Zealand, training is a little less straight-forward without jumping on a plane and travelling out there.
However, this is where our online set-up really starts to shine. Asphoa – our man in China – will be undergoing some key Project Management training using the latest online and telephone technology, proving that distance is no barrier in the 21st century.
